Our annual trip to Karaka Bay took place on a beautiful summer's day, hot and humid. The air was filled with the sound of the waves and buzzing of cicadas. We walked there, chatting and enjoying the opportunity to be outdoors on such a glorious day. At Karaka Bay, Matua Paul welcomed all new families and new staff with a mihimihi. The senior students performed the Pa Mai, a welcome song. We finished the ceremony with a greeting or hongi and shared kai.
